The General Administration of Customs of China released national goods trade data from January to October 2020 on November 7. The growth rate of textile and clothing exports slowed down in October, slightly higher than the national trade in goods. Among them, the growth rate of textile exports dropped further, while clothing exports continued to grow.
The total import and export value of national trade in goods is calculated in RMB:
From January to October 2020, the total import and export value of trade in goods was 25.9 trillion yuan , an increase of 1.1% over the same period last year (the same below), of which exports were 14.3 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.4%, and imports were 11.6 trillion yuan, a decrease of 0.5%. In October, foreign trade import and export reached 2.83 trillion yuan, an increase of 4.6%, of which exports were 1.61 trillion yuan, an increase of 7.6%, and imports were 1.21 trillion yuan, an increase of 0.9%.
The total value of imports and exports of national trade in goods in US dollars:
From January to October 2020, the total value of imports and exports of trade in goods was US$3.71 trillion. A decrease of 0.8% compared with the same period last year, of which exports were US$2.04 trillion, an increase of 0.5%, and imports were US$1.66 trillion, a decrease of 2.3%. In October, foreign trade import and export reached US$415.92 billion, an increase of 8.4%, of which exports were US$237.18 billion, an increase of 11.4%, and imports were US$178.74 billion, an increase of 4.7%.
Textiles and clothing exports in RMB:
From January to October 2020, the cumulative exports of textiles and clothing were 1,685.28 billion yuan, an increase of 11.7%, of which textile exports 908.41 billion yuan, an increase of 34.8%, and clothing exports were 776.87 billion yuan, a decrease of 6.9%. In October, textile and clothing exports were 169.61 billion yuan, an increase of 5%, of which textile exports were 79.63 billion yuan, an increase of 11%, and clothing exports were 89.98 billion yuan, an increase of 0.2%.
Textiles and clothing exports in US dollars:
From January to October 2020, the cumulative exports of textiles and clothing were US$240.62 billion, an increase of 9.5%, of which textile exports US$129.61 billion, an increase of 31.9%, and clothing exports of US$111.01 billion, a decrease of 8.6%. In October, textile and clothing exports were US$24.84 billion, an increase of 10.7%, of which textile exports were US$11.66 billion, an increase of 15.7%, and clothing exports were US$13.18 billion, an increase of 6.6%.
