After the financial crisis began, countries intensified their efforts to levy anti-dumping duties in order to protect their national industries. my country is the country with the largest exports, and as the name suggests, it is also the country that suffers the most anti-dumping duties in the world. Longzhong Information has compiled the number of anti-dumping cases against Chinese products by major countries since 2015. Among them, the number of case announcements announced by the United States, India, and the European Union ranks among the top three, but the announcement of cases targeting my country’s 11th largest category of textile raw materials and textile products In terms of quantity, India ranks first (see Table 1 for details). Since 2015, India has lodged complaints against a total of 13 textile products in my country, including more than 9 in Turkey, 5 in Indonesia, and 3 in the United States.
As far as the above countries are concerned, Turkey was the first to conduct anti-dumping investigations on my country’s chemical fiber yarns. In 2008, it launched anti-dumping investigations on China’s man-made and Anti-dumping investigations were initiated for synthetic staple fiber yarns and sewing threads and anti-dumping duties were imposed in 2009.
Subsequently, Indonesia launched a safeguard investigation on synthetic fiber yarns and man-made staple fiber yarns (except sewing threads) on September 18, 2019, and from November 9, 2019 to May 2020 On March 26, a 200-day temporary safeguard measure was implemented on the imported products involved in the case with a special tariff of 1,405 Indonesian rupiah/kg, and a final ruling on the safeguard measure was made on March 3, 2020.
