The Wanhua New Materials Low-Carbon Industrial Park project is invested and constructed by Wanhua Group, with an overall planning of 11.48 square kilometers, a total investment of 126 billion yuan, and an annual output value of 180 billion yuan after completion and operation. It mainly builds high-performance new material integration projects and produces propylene and ethylene downstream products. The second phase covers an area of 4.33 square kilometers, with a total investment of 45.5 billion yuan. It mainly produces high-end optical materials, special engineering plastics, polyolefin elastomers (POE) and other key materials. The third phase covers an area of 4.94 square kilometers, with a total investment of 48.9 billion yuan. It mainly produces high-end products such as high-end special polyester, degradable plastics, and bio-based new materials.

The first phase of the project is led by the world’s top-scale propane dehydrogenation, and the downstream includes propylene oxide units, acrylic acid and ester units, polyether units, etc.; and realizes material interconnection with Wanhua Yantai Industrial Park through long-distance pipelines. The first phase of the project is a major provincial implementation project in 2022 and 2023. Construction started in March 2022, and a total of 3,896 acres of land have been approved. At present, the maintenance station office building, ground source heat pump system, and maintenance workshop have been put into use. The main structure of the warehouse has been completed, and orders for 116 long-lead equipment have been completed. A total of 1 billion yuan has been invested. It is planned to be delivered in mid-June 2024. After reaching capacity, the annual output value will be 27 billion yuan, with profits and taxes of 5.5 billion yuan. The second phase of the project is a major provincial implementation project in 2023. The 6,500 acres of land quota is planned to be approved in the near future. It is planned to be implemented simultaneously with the first phase of the project in the first half of 2023.

The French Air Liquide China manufacturing base project is an important part of the Air Liquide Group’s future strategic planning.
