Section dyeing method



The method of section dyeing can be mechanical section dyeing or original manual section dyeing. Mechanical segment dyeing can be divided into two types: direct segment dyeing and indirect segment dyeing.


Mechanical segment dyeing There are also a lot of equipment, some of which can dye up to six colors at a time, and are integrated dyeing and color fixing. For a long time, yarn-dyed fabrics have been dyed first and then arranged according to the designed pattern. The woven fabric is neat and regular. Since each yarn has only one color from beginning to end, the style of the woven fabric is monotonous and unoriginal. Direct segment dyeing



Before segment dyeing, the skein undergoes desizing, scouring, bleaching and other pre-treatments. Pay attention to the amount of alkali used in the boiling and bleaching process. Too much alkali will easily reduce the strength of the yarn, and too little will remove impurities. The effect is not ideal, which affects the segment dyeing effect and the quality of the woven cloth. The wool effect of the yarn after scouring is not less than 8cm/30min, and the pH is 7-8. If the wool effect is too low, it will affect the penetration of color paste, resulting in poor dyeing; if it is too high, bleeding will occur easily and the outline will be unclear, which will affect the pattern after weaving.


1.Cotton yarn Paint section dyeing

The coating section has a complete dyeing spectrum, convenient color matching, stable color and light, not easy to bleed, clear outline, and simple process. The disadvantage is that it feels hard.


1.1 Process flow:

1.2 Process points:

  • Adhesive: Use external linking adhesive, such as screen printing adhesive, which has a good film feel and can be washed easily High fastness, high temperature non-yellowing. The dosage should be determined according to the concentration of paint in the color paste. Generally, the dosage is higher, but the dosage is too small and the fastness is poor;


  • Emulsified paste: use oil-water emulsified paste;


  • Paint: The particle size is between 0.2-0.5um. If it is too large, the covering power and wear resistance will be poor. The color tone is dim and the color is reddish; when it is too fine, the brightness and the amount of color are reduced, and the paint paste is prone to agglomeration;


  • Urea: When urea is added to the color paste, the color paste becomes thinner and the viscosity decreases. The color paste is more stable and difficult to form a film. The dosage should be as small as possible, otherwise the fastness will be reduced and segment dyeing edges will be caused during steaming. Severe infiltration;


  • Cross-linking agent: Adding cross-linking agent can improve abrasion resistance and scrubbing fastness, but the dosage must be strict Control, too much will affect the feel. The method of space dyeing is similar to that of fabric printing.


1.3 Notes on the process:

In order to prevent the segment dyeing part from bleeding, the dye is formulated into a color paste and printed on the segment dyeing machine. on yarn. The temperature during drying should not be too high, and the yarn should be 80% dry when leaving the drying room. The process of segment dyeing of paint is simple and the utilization rate of dye is high. It is also a good method of segment dyeing.
